Baubra (baubra.com) is a subscription-based service that generates multiple-choice quizzes from YouTube video transcripts. This page describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
To use Baubra, you sign in with your Google account. When you sign in, we receive and store the following from Google:
We store this information on our server to identify your account, manage your subscription, and track your free-tier usage. We do not share this information with third parties except as described below (Stripe and Google).
We set a single session cookie (baubra_session)
when you sign in. This cookie identifies your session so you stay
signed in as you use the site. It is:
We do not use analytics cookies, tracking cookies, or any third-party cookies. We do not use any analytics or tracking scripts.
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. When you subscribe to Baubra Pro, you are redirected to Stripe's hosted checkout page where you enter your payment details. We never see, handle, or store your credit card number. Stripe handles all payment processing and stores your payment information under their own privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy.
We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status (active, canceled, etc.) on our server to determine whether you have Pro access.
When you click Generate Quiz, the transcript is sent from your browser to our server, which forwards it to Google Gemini to generate quiz questions. Google's terms apply to that request: ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms.
When you paste a YouTube URL, our server fetches the public caption track for that video. We do not store transcripts or generated quizzes on our server after the response is sent to your browser.
When you click Save as Google Form, the generated quiz is sent to a Google Apps Script that creates a Google Form. The form is set to "anyone with the link can edit." If you click Save a Copy to My Drive, Google duplicates the form into your own Drive and you become the owner of that copy.
The site is hosted behind a Cloudflare Tunnel. Cloudflare keeps standard request logs (your IP address, request time, the URL you visited, your browser's user agent) for operational and security purposes. We do not maintain additional application-level request logs.
We keep a server-side count of how many quizzes have been generated each day (a single number per day, not tied to individual users) for display on the homepage. We also track when each user last generated a free-tier quiz to enforce the one-quiz-per-week free-tier limit.
Your account information (name, email, subscription status) is stored as long as your account exists. If you want your data deleted, contact us and we will remove your account record from our server.
Baubra is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change.
